Frisco ISD contains 40 elementary schools, 16 middle schools, and 9 high schools. These sixty-five schools are attended by about 55,700 students who live in Frisco, Little Elm, McKinney and Plano. The high school football teams are able to play their home games at The Star, which is the Cowboys headquarters and practice field. The 2017 Texas Education Agency (TEA) student achievement index is 91.8. The student achievement index is the percentage of total student assessments for all subjects tested that meet or exceed the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) achievement standards.
